About Flashlight Database
Flashlight Database is a structured catalog built for flashlight enthusiasts. It tracks models by the details that actually matter: battery format, driver type, emitter, UI, output, beam, controls, and real-world behavior — all source-backed.
Our Mission
Help you find the right light by comparing behavior, regulation, firmware, and enthusiast features rather than shop marketing copy.
Current Coverage
- 12 brands tracked
- 23 models with detailed specifications and variants
- 34+ computed questions answering relationships like “Anduril 2 + 14500” or “buck driver + high CRI”
- All data validated against manufacturer sources, manuals, and independent reviews
Coverage is continuously expanded as new source-backed models and relationships are added.
Data Quality
Every model includes:
- Official manufacturer specifications
- Independent review corroboration
- Retailer verification where available
- Source documentation attached to the data
Relationships between lights (same UI, battery, driver, or features) are computed so you can discover alternatives starting from a light you already know.
How the computed knowledge graph works
Instead of writing generic roundup articles, the site derives answers directly from the structured dataset. Questions such as “Which 18650 flashlights have a recorded CRI of 90 or higher?” or “Which lights combine Anduril 2 with a buck driver?” are generated from the relationships already tracked. This keeps the answers consistent with the underlying data and makes it easy to explore related lights.
